Smile

"I Know Why The Caged Baby Sings" D.Altaville c.2007
When I started this journal page, I knew immediately what the title would be.
I even laughed out loud over it. And it continued to make me smile until I
worked it to completion. But I guess not everyone shares my odd sense
of humor. As he remains an orphan on etsy...at the moment anyway.
But I had lots of fun doing him and I guess that's what counts!
Funny too, how my vintage images are starting to creep back
into my art. I have a few more I'm working on that hopefully will done
by week's end.
OH and thanks Nancy Baumiller who had sent me
some goodies a while back, of which I used a couple on this page.
AND since I'm still stuffy and coughing...(does a cold ever end?) ...I needed
something to make me smile today. So he was my pick!
Hope your day is full of smiles! And cold free!

He makes me smile, too, Darcy :) That's a great title!
Hope you're feeling better - so many bugs turn up with the change in season.
Take care of yourself and have a Happy Spring! :)

Oh, I love this one. I think I'm often drawn to collages that have interesting faces from long ago. I wonder about their life and what their names were. Were they happy or sad? This little baby is sweet but intriguing all at once.

I'm going over to etsy to check it out!!

I think it's great! I just got my two prints that I ordered from your Etsy shop and I am thrilled beyond belief! Everything is so vivid and gorgeous and even though they're prints, you want to touch them!! Thanks for getting them here so fast. I love the tag too.

love the lines and strips of color in this piece and the baby is so cute. I lurve vintage images, they are fun and bring wonder to the piece I believe. WEll, hope u get rid of that cold soon. I had it too. it lasted a while but did eventually go away. lots of rest and fluids needed.
